(13 Jul 1975) On a July day in 1685, the armies of James, Duke of Monmouth and King James II faced each other on Sedgemoor Field. The ensuing battle was the last major engagement fought on British soil. Two hundred and ninety years later the "Sealed Knot Society" re-enact the battle.

50 years ago the film Winstanley was made with members of the ECWS as participants. Before I joined but was one of the society's high points. Read about Winstanley here.
The film was reissued on DVD and Blu-ray in 2009 by the British Film Institute (BFI), which had funded the original project.[1]
