This project aims to make the classic German television production Wallenstein (1978) accessible to non-German speakers, particularly scholars, students, and members of the historical reenactment community with an interest in the Thirty Years’ War.
Thanks for posting the link to this. I have skimmed a bit and will look at it properly in and over time. The series in the 70s were top quality weren't they?

been watching this and really enjoying it, thanks for pointing it out - wouldn't have known otherwise. Tried to read the Golo Mann book once, but got defeated by Bogislav XIV of Pomorie etc. There's a good TV film on Youtube with John Thaw as Francis Drake & Avon out of Blake's 7 as Doughty, but the picture quality's a bit dodgy.
