French infantry of the 17th century article

This article by the Early Modern Warfare Society has some useful dates and statistics about the French army of the mid-late 1600s... for example on the adoption of the plug bayonet, the depths of formations and the adoption of uniforms - they maintain in imitation of English troops encountered in Portugal under Schomberg... interesting.
