Steve Cady's paper soldiers

Steve has been designing Paper soldiers and very good they are too. He says "My paper soldier designs, French infantry regiment La Fère. War of the Polish Succession, 1735."

An ideal solution if you find an obscure period you want to do methinks.

Thanks for posting my soldiers, Ralphus.

Yes, I find the rather obscure War of the Polish Succession interesting. Aside from one siege, it was "sitzkrieg" in the supposed main theater on the Rhine, although campaigning was more active in Italy. I think it makes for an attractive "what if" proposition, which could make for reality based "imagi-nations" gaming if you will. Not much happened, but it could have.

Stylistically, it straddles the eras of Louis XIV/Regency and War of the Austrian Succession/7 Years War. And it was the end of the line for old warhorses Villars, Berwick and Prinz Eugen.

Interesting. I’ve recently got interested in the WPS via the Italian campaigns of the WAS. I started to look back to the previous decade due to references in what I read.
Unfortunately it’s a war pretty much neglected by Anglophones. Unless Steve/Corpiral Trim has any suggestions…..
