By Fire and Sword The Deluge

I have been enjoying the artwork by Tomasz Tworek for the new expansion for the Fire and Sword rules.

Battle of Prostki - October 8, 1656

The battle of Prostki took place during the Second Northern War and was a decisive victory of Polish-Lithuanian forces numbering 10,000 men (mostly regular cavalry) supported by 2,000 Tatars and led by hetman Wincenty Gosiewski over a Swedish-Brandenburgian army of 6,500 regulars (nearly half of them infantry) reinforced by 800 Lithuanian-Polish cavalry of prince Boguslav Radziwill and led by prince Georg Friedrich von Waldeck.

The battle was portrayed in the Polish movie "Potop" from 1974:

The English March

One of the most important beats to learn as an ECW drummer is the English March. Both sides used it. Unfortunately there isn't one on Youtube so maybe someone who knows it could make a video? Here's a link to the music and some of the history. This page has some useful things for ECW drummers

English Civil War drummer

This is Andy from Devereux's. You could say he's a veteran as he started in about 1975 when he was a mere lad.
He's returned to the ranks recently and got his kit uptogether - he says 'monteroe by Ian Dicker and jump coat by Barbara Robinson, both of the 1642 Tailor; singlet, shirt and breeches by Peggy's Necessities; hose by Gwyneth Munroe; shoes by Sarah Juniper; drum by Marcus Music; sword by the Two J's; snapsack by me :)'
