Gunnister Man
Monmouth cap?
On the subject of coats for the late 17thc civilian my first port of call would be the Gunnister man.

His knit cap is not a Monmouth cap but a later style that is similar. I believe it is knitted different that a Monmouth would have and it was heavily felted, or the knap was raised to make it fuzzier.
