Lace Wars

The next event for Lace Wars is a return to Wentworth Castle Gardens this weekend Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of September. For event details follow the link. Also on Sunday only there is a special House Tour telling the Jacobite history of the site. Wentworth Castle Gardens is located between the villages of Stainborough and Hood Green, near Barnsley, about 2 miles from Junction 37 of the M1.

Outlander

Wiki Watched a couple of episodes of this new big budget series set in the Jacobite Rebellion. It's based on novels that tell the story of a woman who is transported back in time from the 1940s to the 1740s and finds herself in a tug of love across the divide of history. It's OK - the redcoats are the usual bad guys a la Hollywood but the settings and Scottish locations make it worth the effort. IMDB
Don't worry if you havent seen it - it's not available in this country yet - it's on in the US on Starz.
