Royal Ecossais in the 45
There is some debate as to whether this was actually worn - read the argument here
This cap was worn by a grenadier officer of the Royal Ecossais, a
Scottish infantry regiment in the French Army. Made of dark blue velvet
and scarlet silk, it is embroidered with the French fleur-de-lys and the
Scottish thistle. From here
