As it's an anniversary this year I thought we could post some pics. This is from the Osprey Louis XV's army. Based on Gudenus by the looks of it.

27 of April. Welcome to the Wisłoujście Fortress - Museum of Gdańsk, opened after several years of renovation, where we will present the everyday life of Gdański soldiers and their families in the XVIII century. https://www.facebook.com/events/430063262951958/

30th of April. Grand opening of the renovated Crane. We will move to Gdansk from the second half of the 17th century. []%7D

May the 3rd. Solemn Historical Change of Guard and Oath of Residents to Artus Court - Museum of Gdańsk. https://www.facebook.com/events/236656612838163/

May the 4th. 290th anniversary of the battle of Gradowa Mountain on May 9, 1734. An event that we've been waiting for for years, reminiscent of the greatest victory of the Gdansk troops. https://www.facebook.com/events/824179992864335/

In addition, our former kitchen specialist Ola Kucharska will be a Wisłouj chef in a fantastically equipped kitchen @twierdza WisłouJście. Catch her there April 27-29, May 1 and May 5

Steve Cady's paper soldiers

Steve has been designing Paper soldiers and very good they are too. He says "My paper soldier designs, French infantry regiment La Fère. War of the Polish Succession, 1735."

An ideal solution if you find an obscure period you want to do methinks.

Saxon and Polish troops near Warsaw 1732. J. Ch. Mock.

Anybody help me find out more about this image?

Philipp Franz Freiherrn von Gudenus

One of the best things about the War of Polish Succession is the pictures by Gudenus. (1710-1783). I don't know anything about him so if any of you can help I will be grateful.

The Battle of Bitonto by Italian battle painter Giovanni Luigi Rocco.

The Battle of Bitonto (25 May 1734) was a Spanish victory over Austrian forces near Bitonto in the Kingdom of Naples (in southern Italy) in the War of Polish Succession. The battle ended organized Austrian resistance outside a small number of fortresses in the kingdom.
