The siege of Groningen by Bernhard von Galen in 1672

Von Galen, Bishop of Munster wiki
I'm trying to get to grips a little with the Dutch army of the period - with little success I might add - but this siege image looks interesting - seems to feature the army of the Bishop of Munster Christoph Bernhard von Galen (NL wiki). Images from Wikimedia commons.

As an inhabitant of Groningen, I can inform you that the painting is rather unrealistic. In the municipal hall there's a better one, it's also on the wiki page you linked to.
