Quebec reenactment cancelled?

It seems as if this years 250th anniversary reenactment of the Plains of Abraham battle is to be cancelled due to fears of a separatist protest. Presumably there will be some event or other taking place but it seems to me a sad development. News item here

*sigh* . . . why is it that people with some sort of agenda are constantly interfering with events where folks are just trying to have fun.

I am not singling out the Plains of Abraham, protests of various sorts interfere with all sorts of gatherings.

They seem to feel that whatever their cause is . . . be it serious or silly . . . that THEIR CAUSE is more important than anyone else's rights.

*sigh*
