English dragoons of the late 17th century




While on the subject of our favourite Lawson's here are a couple more really evocative pieces. Dragoons really were dragoons in this era, which I suppose means duplicate figures on the table - unless figure designers did a pairing like the Lawson Horse Grenadier below. Would that work?

I have the old partizan press book on Sedgemoor by John Tincey. Do you know if the new partizan book has a lot of new information or is it more a case of a glossy/colour approach?

I don't know - I haven't seen the new version - I suppose there's only so much information but then it depends how well thumbed your old version is

Just picked up The Armies & Uniforms of the Monmouth Rebellion by Christopher Scott a Partizan special Edition. very nice book in their current style & format. illustrations by Lesley Prince, Bob Marrion, C Farmer and Alan Turton. First 12 pages background, chronology the remaining 110 pages on the uniforms, regiments, roles organisation etc nice colour pics of Flags v Nice presentation overal.
