Horse Grenadier 1685

The Royal Regiment of Horse was made up of three troops of 200 gentlemen and a troop of 60 Horse Grenadiers recruited from the usual commoners. Equipped with a long carbine 'strapt', sword, a pair of pistols, bayonet and grenades. Pic by me. Also a pic from the master himself Cecil C P Lawson - an excellent depiction of a Horse Grenadier c1688 which I think captures the concept perfectly.

I would be interested in your views of the "File Leader" rules by Partizan Press. I have been interested in using it for the 1685 Monmouth Rebellion. I would be interested in your views about its suitability for this conflict .
many thanks
Alan

I am uncertain if my comment worked. I was asking your views on the File Leader Rules and their suitability for 1685 ...
thanks Alan

File leader? Thats a good idea - I do have a copy of them. They have humourous officer incidents which could be made more topical but they could be spot on for the size of actions...say each tray representing a troop or company.

Also I'd like to see those Sedgemoor articles ...
