Book on the armies of 1672-79

If you are wondering how you're going to find out more about the armies of the period of Mark Copplestone's new range of figures don't worry - help is at hand. Dan Schorr who we all know from his excellent Northern Wars site is preparing a book on the uniforms and colours of the armies of the 1672-79 period. I'm really looking forward to it.

Excellent. And Dan's GNW site is one of the best period resources on the web.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up that anything will be available in the near future. I have been working on the Brandenburgers 1672-79, and I'm in the process of doing illustrations for them. Other armies are more difficult, as information on colours and standards, as well as uniforms is difficult to come by. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that runs across something for this period. Ralph's constant search for contemporary illustrations is wonderful as one can see the cut of the uniform.

Regards,

Dan
