The Battle of Honnecourt

 The Battle of Honnecourt took place on 26 May 1642, during the 1635 to 1659 Franco-Spanish War. A Spanish army led by Francisco de Melo defeated and largely destroyed a French force under the Comte de Guiche.

Spanish troops 1607

I like to find the illustrations from books that are in black and white and find the colour version. This one is in the book The Armies of Philip IV of Spain 1621 - 1665: The fight for European Supremacy (Century of the Soldier). The full painting can be seen in a zoomable format here also features cavalry.

Rocroi Book

Although its only in Spanish this book looks worth getting. Looks like the Spanish had scraps of red cloth to distinguish them. Anyone have this book?

Tercios Españoles

We can't really talk about Tercios without mentioning the movie Alatriste. I haven't actually seen the film but I have seen clips of it and it looks worth tracking down.
