Interesting image of a boy grenadier
Anybody know anything about this picture? Eric Roberts found this
MutualArt describes it as 'Follower of Edward Haytley (active c. 1740-1764): Portrait of a young boy in military dress with battle beyond. 18th century.'

May be, the boy would be one of the children of Fedrerik Wilhelm I of Prussia, perhaps Frederick II. As second possibility, although more difficult, it could be than the boy would be the same FW in his chilhood. Anyway, the looks wearing a dress inspired in the Rotten Battaillon uniforms. Also the paint could show a like British military dress. In fact. it is sure that is an noble (from royal family?) boy in adrill exercise parctising the "fix bayonets!" movement
