Culloden (1964)
Can you believe it? Been doing this blog for ten years and more and I haven't posted the Watkin's BBC documentary on Culloden. I saw this when it came out.

Bought the DVD a few years ago. Very nice... Well, apart from the drums... Aargh! Just can't help hating screwed drums except they've been made after 1830... :-)))

IIRC we were shown this at school for some reason or other. Could be wrong as it's over 40 years ago now! Excellent viewing none the less.
A product of its time and well done too. A noble yet ill led cause if not one with not that much chance of success. Super film.
Unfortunately the film owed a lot more to the 1960s rather than the 1740s.
Been to the battlefield twice never seen this well posted
I saw this film when I was 8. A sharp reality check as to the realities of how horrible war can be.
