 Introducing our first ever Civil War Weekend

On Saturday 15th and 16th August, Sudeey visitors can step into one of the most turbulent chapters in the castle’s history as our Civil War Weekend brings the past dramatically back to life.

Across the weekend there will be:

A Civil War skirmish in the Hop Field

Pike drills accompanied by drummers

A living-history village on the Mulberry Lawn

Period medics, cooking and traditional daily life

Civil War-inspired specials in the Pavilion café

Sudeley once stood at the heart of Royalist operations in Gloucestershire, and the scars of the conflict can still be seen on the Castle walls.

Civil War Weekend activities are all included within the price of general admission on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August.
