| Paulus Lesire (1611-1654) painted also the departure of Henrietta Maria. This painting depicts many citizens, noblemen, soldiers and the Hague shooters. Probably the shooters from The Hague are in a 'daily' dressed in uniform and the painting gives an image of the second room Queen Henriette Maria on February 26, 1643. |

It is a striking picture, full of detail. I was interested in the variety of stocking colour though this may be an artistic choice rather than a fashion choice. Stephen
