JGBaroque says
'This is a fife and drum arrangement I made of the Russian "Preobrazhensky March", or more properly the "March of the Preobrazhensky Life Guard Regiment". The drums and the harmonizations are made by me, it also features oboes which were a common military instrument in the 18th century.
The image depicts Russian and Swedish armies at the Battle of Lesnaya in 1708, where the Russian army under Peter I (who is seen in the foreground) defeated the forces of Adam Ludwig Lewenhaupt. The painting was made by the French painter Pierre-Denis Martin in the early 18th century.'
